In physics potential is expressed as U. Maximum Potential achieved is expressed as max U. Potential is that which lies within and has yet to materialize or manifest. Often Potential is used to describe energy. Every single thing in existence has potential, however, not all potential is manifested or materialized.
Max U was started based on the fundamentals of free spirited rugged Individualism to help other like minded people achieve their maximum human potential. To achieve maximum human potential, 4 basic principles and their fundamentals must be adhered to.

However, comfort and complacency in our modern society has led to a worldwide epidemic of overweightness and obesity. Obesity is the number 1 preventable cause of all chronic illnesses, including heart disease, chronic pain, and type - 2 diabetes (CDC; WHO).

Max U LLC provides Health & Wellness Coaching and Corrective Exercise Services, both in person and virtual. So many health problems people experience on a daily basis can be attributed to lifestyle. Over 95% of the world's population have a health condition. (Global Burden of Disease Study (GBD) 2013, published in The Lancet.) According to the CDC, the NIH, and Health and Human Services Obesity is the number 1 PREVENTABLE cause of all chronic disease (Comorbidity).
Comorbidity
Hypertension, Type 2 Diabetes, and Heart Failure are among the top causes of death in the United States (CDC, 2018). 94 percent of all Covid Deaths in 2020 had 1 or more comorbidities. Only 6 percent of deaths were attributed to the virus alone (CDC, 2020; Johns Hopkins, 2020).
Chronic Pain
Research suggests that musculoskeletal pain is more common today than it was 40 years ago (Harkness EF). Foot and ankle injuries account for more than 1 million dollars in doctor visits each year, and lower back injuries to include musculoskeletal degeneration effects 80 percent of all adults (Riddle; McKay GD; Walker BF; Cassidy JD) . Knee injuries are common and 80 - 100,000 Anterior-Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injuries occur every year. 70 - 75 percent of those injuries are noncontact (Griffin LY; Noyes FR; Arendt E; Boden BP; Engstrom B; Ireland ML). While shoulder pain is reported amongst 21 percent of the population with 40 percent of those injuries last more than a year (Bongers PM; Johnson M) . 65 percent of shoulder pain cases are attributed to impingement.
Sleep
50 to 70 million people in the US suffer from one or several sleep disorders (Harvey R Colten, 2006). On the average people today sleep 1.1 hours less than they did in 1942 (J. Jones, 2013). It is estimated that between 3 - 5 percent of obesity cases are due to lack of sleep (Harvard School of Public Health, 2020).

Your Mind influences all bodily behaviors and there is a distinct relationship between the brain and the neurological connection with the body. The mind - muscle connection is essential in activating inactive muscles as well as developing increased motor unit response. This is important in any implementation of behavior change such as beginning a new workout routine, training for an athletic event or even adopting new habits.
Behavior Change
Behavior change is simply the process of replacing one habit with another. This is a reversible process that can be either positive or negative in nature. Most often individuals choose to replace a negative behavior such as being sedentary, binge eating, or smoking with more positive behaviors such as exercise, healthy eating, or other beneficial actions. Neurolinguistic programming and hypnosis are positive tools to foster positive change. However, other behaviors such as negative self talk, anxiety and general stress can also be replaced with more positive ideas, thoughts and perceptions.
Sport Psychology
Sport psychology is the practice of helping athletes and first responders attain and maintain the mental edge. Through the use of behavior change and neurolinguistic programming protocols individuals are capable of replacing inhibition and fear with positive mental and emotional thoughts and habits in order to achieve goals and increase physical, mental and psychological performance.

Max U LLC provides Personal Training Services, both in person and virtual. Our trainer Andy Curtiss has been a certified personal trainer and sports nutrition coach since 2005. He is educated in exercise science and is a current Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) credential.
Obesity
Obesity is the number one preventable cause of all chronic disease "Comorbidity" (CDC, NIH, HHS). Comorbidities include, cardiovascular disease, Type 2 Diabetes, Chronic Pain and Inflammation. In 2008 US Health and Human Services (HHS) published their Physical Activity Guidelines where they identified Obesity as the number 1 preventable cause of comorbidity and recommended 150 minutes of moderate physical activity a week as treatment and prevention of obesity (HHS, 2008).

In 2018, they released their update of the Guidelines for Physical Activity, that maintained their recommendation for 150 minutes of moderate exercise spread out between 3 - 5 sessions of acute exercise a week (HHS, 2018). Regular Exercise has been shown to increase immunity (Nieman & Wentz, 2019). It is now more important than ever to concentrate on one's health to prevent comorbidity and boost one's natural immunity.

Even if you are currently healthy and obesity prevention isn't a priority, human movement is a natural part of life. Learning how to move efficiently and prevent muscle imbalances effects every single aspect of life and is a great preventive measure in avoiding injury.
